HAPPY 8TH BIRTHDAY KELLY!!!

Marching Madie!

Madie finally got her colorguard uniform...they came in Friday...doesn't she look so cute. They all have to have their hair parted on the left and put in a bun. They also all have the same earrings, eyeshadow, lip gloss, etc. They finally got to march with the band during halftime. They are only doing one of the three songs so far but Madie is glad that the first time is over. She had butterflies and shook thru the who thing. I didn't get to see her but Jeff gave me blow-by-blow descriptions and sent me this picture. Michaela and I had to go do some fundraising for her travel ball team. Nana and I plan on making it to her next game while Jeff, Kelly and Michaela are setting up our tent at Seminole State Park next Friday. Kelly will be fighting the Bobcat...more about that later.

St. Mark's Costal Clean-up

Kelly and Jeff joined their Cub Scout Pack at St. Mark's on Saturday to pick up trash. It was a beautiful day...not too hot and there was a nice breeze. They didn't find much trash out on the levee but saw an alligator and smelled some wild piggies. They both got a t-shirt and lunch for their help and there was also someone there from the Marine Lab who let the boys hold many different sea animals...including a shark!

Poor Kelly! His sisters got a hold of him...dressed him up in a tutu...did his hair (bow in back)...and put make-up on him!!! What was he thinking letting them do this to him. Doesn't he know his Mommy loves to take pictures and would blog this moment. Live and learn!

Madie's 1st High School football game

Can't believe it but Madie is now in high school. She is loving it and has joined the band colorguard. They are just getting the program restarted so they don't have their uniforms yet and are still learning their routines, but she is having a blast. Thursday night was their first game and the colorguard had to be present and sit with the band (they won't be marching until the 4th game.) This picture appeared in the pictures taken by Tallahassee Democrat. Madie is down front on the right.

Jeff keeps teasing her that she is either going to take someone out with her flag or trip over one of the field lines...something her mother might do.
